After Work

I took a hike in Griffith Park yesterday evening after work. The park looks different than I remember last year. There are tall grasses lining the trails with wildflowers blooming on both sides. It's been such a fantastic experience to get to know this land somewhat intimately, to learn the names of the plants, trees and wildflowers. It seems to have changed my relationship with it. Last year, the trails were merely a way to get some exercise and some nice views, and some sun. Now, it's more than that. Like a gift from God. He seems to be saying, "If you thought that was cool, let me show you this!"
